This copper coin was minted during the rule of Catherine II, also known as Catherine The Great.

Coin denomination is 5 kopek. Common-folk name is "pyatak" - "pyat" means five in Russian.

These coins are pretty heave and bulky - 51.2 grams of weight and 44mm in diameter. For our visitors from the land of the free - 1.8oz and 1.73in.
